Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said the Congress will continue to tell the ‘truth’ if Prime Minister Narendra Modi doesn’t stop speaking ‘lies.’The CM said that Modi has been telling lies regarding the implementation of the Congress guarantees in TG along with the canards being spread by Maharashtra BJP leaders against the Telangana Government.Addressing the media at the Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee office in Mumbai on Saturday, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy who went to take part in the Maharashtra Assembly election campaign in Mumbai, appealed to the people to defeat the BJP which had ‘deceived’ the people of Maharashtra.“Modi said during the Maharashtra election campaign that the Congress gave impossible assurances to the people of Telangana. That is the reason I came to Maharashtra to appraise people of the truth about the implementation of the six guarantees in Telangana. The government of Maharashtra and the Centre ignored the welfare of farmers. Modi introduced ‘black’ laws to ‘help’ Adani and Ambani. We waived the loans of farmers up to Rs 2 lakh in Telangana as we promised. The Telangana Government waived the loans of 22 lakh farmers amounting to Rs 17,829 crore in just 25 days. We are ready to furnish details regarding this if anyone wants,” Revanth said.The CM said that he gave befitting answers to Modi’s criticism on issues concerning TG farmers. Modi deleted his post on X after my strong counter, Revanth said.Revanth said that the highest number of suicides by farmers were reported from Maharashtra. The Maharashtra Government and the Centre ‘forgot’ farmers, he said.The CM said that the Congress Government of Telangana launched a caste census to provide ‘social justice’ to the people.He said that 17 projects that could have come to Maharashtra have gone to Gujarat.The CM said the Congress Government filled 50,000 vacancies in TG government service in just 10 months after taking over the admin.The TG government is also distributing LPG cylinders for Rs 500 under its Mahalakshmi scheme and 50 lakh households have benefited from the scheme which supplies free power up to 200 units a month, he said.The CM said the Telangana Government is providing Rs 500 as a support price for paddy. Around 1.04 crore women have so far made use of the free RTC bus travel scheme in the last 10 months. The TG government paid Rs 3,541 crore to the TGSRTC to fund the free bus travel scheme, he said.He said that Maharashtra has a special place in Indian history. Maharashtra gave birth to many great leaders who changed the destiny of the country like Mahatma Jyotiba Phule, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Savitribai Phule, Dr BR Ambedkar and others, Revanth added.He asked the people of Maharashtra to defeat the BJP which ‘deceived’ the state.
