Minister for Roads and Buildings Komiti Reddy Venkata Reddy has stressed the need to provide quality education in government schools.
He was the chief guest at a function held at Nutanakal ZP High School on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the government has brought revolutionary changes in the education system and students are provided with quality education in every school. The government had earmarked Rs 22 crore for Education sector. The government is committed to the development of schools. During the previous government’s tenure, 6,000 schools were closed in the State. Step by step all schools will be made model schools at a cost of Rs 600 crore.
He reiterated that crop loans up to Rs 2 lakh would be waived by August 15. He said that the aim of the government is to provide quality education to the poor and provide a bright future to the children. He said that Indiramma houses would be constructed for the poor in the constituency.
The Minister said that Rs 75 crore has been sanctioned for the repair of roads and new roads will be constructed within two years. He said that the Central and State governments would give priority to the development of the region by providing water to the agriculture sector.
Bhuvanagiri MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy said that the government is committed to the development of the constituency. District Collector S Venkatrao was present.
As part of the programme, school bags, uniforms and textbooks were distributed to the students. Earlier, the MP along with the District Collector appreciated the dances performed by the students.
