“The undivided Nalgonda district is the stronghold of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and we will live up to the expectations of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and win all 12 seats,” said Minister for Energy G Jagadish Reddy on Monday.
Supporters of the sitting MLAs organised celebrations after the Chief Minister and BRS national president K Chandrashekar Rao announced the list of candidates. The renomination of all 12 sitting MLAs put an end to speculation that the BRS party may forge an alliance with the Left parties and allot one or two seats to them. The sitting MLAs expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister for giving them an opportunity to serve the people once again.
Jagadish Reddy expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister for giving him an opportunity to contest from the Suryapet constituency once again. He won from the constituency for two consecutive terms. He also expressed his gratitude to BRS working president KT Rama Rao.
The measures taken by the Chief Minister to strengthen the agriculture sector brought prosperity to the undivided Nalgonda district. Telangana was the only State in the country to provide round-the-clock free power to the farm sector.
Apart from it, the BRS government has been providing input subsidy under Rythu Bandhu and insurance for the families of the farmers under Rythu Bhima and others.
