Welfare schemes will reach every eligible individual: Ponguleti

Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy appealed to people on Thursday not to be apprehensive about the transparency in the selection of beneficiaries under various welfare schemes. Strong measures have been taken to ensure that the benefits of welfare schemes will reach all eligible people.  
The Minister was touring the Tirumalayapalem mandal and laid the foundation stones for several developmental works.
The distribution of Indiramma houses, Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa, Rythu Bharosa, and the issuance of ration cards will begin on January 26. “The inclusion of beneficiaries in the welfare schemes is a continuous process,” he assured the people.
The Minister also mentioned that TipparedIgudem will see the construction of cement roads, power line extensions and removal of lines over homes have been approved. Proposals have been sent to the government for the repair of roads damaged by floods.
He assured that by the upcoming monsoon, cement concrete roads would be constructed. Approximately Rs 9 crore has been allocated to resolve the problem being posed by overhead electrical wire.
Despite the precarious financial conditions and the legacy of a huge debt burden, the Congress government is sincerely working for the welfare of the people and implementing various schemes. From January 26, Rs 12,000 per acre will be provided for all cultivable agricultural lands, and Rs 12,000 annual assistance will be provided to families of landless labourers.
The event was attended by Irrigation Development Corporation Chairman M. Vijay Babu, Paleru Constituency Special Officer Ramesh, RDO Narasimha Rao, Tirumalayapalem Tahsildar Ramakrishna, MPDO. Silar Sahib, public representatives, officials, and others.
