We’ll stand with people: Kakani

Stating that the election results surprised and saddened them, former Minister and YSRCP leader Kakani Govardhan Reddy clarified that he hails the people’s verdict. He said that despite the debacle, they would continue to reach out to people.
Talking to the media here Monday, he thanked the people who had stood with the YSRCP in the house of crisis. He recalled that during the five-year regime, the YSRCP-led government had brought many reforms in various sectors including education, health, agriculture and medicine.
The Jagan Mohan Reddy-headed government had implemented welfare schemes for the poor without compromising at any point, he lauded, stating that at the same time, the government had prioritised the development. He asserted the government had implemented 99% of its manifesto assurances.
“We retrospect and analyse the rout. We also analyze why people have given such a verdict even after receiving the benefits of welfare schemes. We continue to serve people in spite of defeat,” Kakani Govardhan Reddy made it clear.
Infusing courage to the YSRCP cadres, the former Minister asked the activists not to be demoralized by the debacle. He called upon activists and sympathizers of YSRCP to stand with YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, continue to bolster the YSRCP and apprise people how the YSRCP-headed government extended the benefits of welfare schemes to all the eligible poor irrespective of caste and religion.
