Asking what connection the BJP has to the CBI arresting Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Telangana BJP President Sanjay said that Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao responded to the arrest of Sisodia but did not respond when the CBI issued notices to his daughter BRS MLC Kavitha.
Sanjay reminded that the CBI had mentioned Kavitha’s name in its charge-sheet stating that Kavitha had links with the Delhi liquor scam. Sanjay made it clear that nobody is above the law when it comes to corruption. Speaking to the media after meeting Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday, Sanjay said that the meeting did not discuss the Delhi liquor case as it was a routine meeting. The party had planned the meeting 15 days ago.
He said that the BJP will take up public issues and will contest all the 119 Assembly constituencies in the next elections.
“We are working at the booth level to strengthen the party. We have decided to organise public meetings in all 119 Assembly constituencies. The party will organise public meetings in 10 Assembly constituencies and at the end, the party would conduct a huge public meeting attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” Sanjay said.
The party has been conducting street corner meetings as per its Praja Gosa-BJP Bharosa. The BJP is the only party responding to public issues in the state. The street corner meetings are a success and the BJP’s central team expressed happiness over it, Sanjay said.
Reiterating that the BJP is the only alternative to the BRS, he made it clear that the party is ready to face elections whenever it comes.
Criticising the BRS and Congress leaders for spreading the lie that the BJP has no candidates, Sanjay made it clear that the BJP has able candidates in all constituencies.
He said the people wanted to remove the BRS government as they want a change in Telangana. He said that he was confident that the BJP will win in Telangana. He welcomed the leaders who wanted to join the BJP.
Telangana BJP affairs in-charge Tarun Chugh said the BJP is trying hard to free Telangana from the KCR government. The people of Telangana are outraged and want to free themselves from KCR’s rule. He said that the BJP’s aim is to topple KCR and made it clear that they had discussed the future course of action.
