Chief Minister Revanth Reddy presented a transformative vision for Telangana during his address at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) National Council meeting held in Hyderabad.
Emphasizing the state’s commitment to sustainable growth, innovation and women’s empowerment, he invited investors to partner with the government to “create wonders in Telangana.”
Revanth reaffirmed the government’s decision to make Hyderabad a “Net-Zero City”. As part of the effort, 3,200 electric buses are being introduced into the TGSRTC fleet, and electric vehicle registration and road taxes have been waived to boost adoption.
He announced plans to relocate polluting vehicles beyond the Outer Ring Road (ORR) and set an example for urban sustainability.
“While we aim for the Moon, it’s time we learn to coexist responsibly on Earth,” he remarked, stressing the urgency of sustainable practices.
The CM unveiled plans for Hyderabad’s “Future City,” envisioned as a world-class hub on par with cities like New York, London, Seoul, Dubai and Tokyo.
This exclusive service sector city will be designed to be pollution-free and climate-resilient, establishing Hyderabad as a global benchmark in urban planning.
Highlighting the state’s focus on women’s empowerment, Revanth said that 67 lakh women are active members of self-help groups in Telangana. These groups are setting up canteens in government offices and have been encouraged to establish solar power plants generating 1,000 MW. A three-and-a-half-acre site near Hi-Tech City has been allotted for women entrepreneurs to sell their products.
“Our goal is to make one crore women millionaires while prioritizing rural women’s empowerment,” he said.
The CM outlined plans for Telangana’s infrastructure development, including the construction of a 360-km Regional Ring Road (RRR) with radial roads connecting it to the ORR.   Development of clusters modelled after China, focusing on pharma, life sciences, aerospace, EVs and solar industries.  A dry port in Telangana will be connected to Andhra Pradesh’s Machilipatnam Port via road and rail.
Revanth emphasised the government’s focus on skill development, noting

that 1.1 lakh engineering graduates pass out annually, many of whom lack essential skills. Collaborating with the Tata Group, the state is investing Rs 2,400 crore to transform ITIs into Advanced Training Centres.
He also announced the establishment of a Skill University, modelled after ISB, with Anand Mahindra as its Chairman. Additionally, a Sports University and Sports Hub are being developed to promote sports and allied industries.

The CM urged CII representatives to support the Skill University corpus fund and assured them of the best business environment in Telangana. “Telangana is open for investments. Let us collaborate to create wonders, not just for India but globally,” he concluded.
