TRS Rajya Sabha Member K. Keshav Rao criticised the BJP government at the Centre for ‘misusing’ investigation agencies and for ‘attacking’ opposition leaders using Central investigation agencies.

He said that holding the G20 conference is not a great thing and that 50 per cent of the time should be reserved for discussing public issues during Parliamentary sessions. He made these comments while talking to the media in New Delhi ahead of the all-party parliamentary meeting before the winter session.

TRS Lok Sabha party leader Nama Nageswara Rao asked the Centre to hold a comprehensive discussion during the winter session of Parliament on all pending issues connected to Telangana.

In view of the forthcoming winter session, Nama participated in the TRS Lok Sabha all-party meeting organised by Speaker Om Birla in New Delhi on Tuesday.Speaking on the occasion, Nama urged the Centre to take immediate steps to resolve all bifurcation issues pending with the Centre for a long time regarding Telangana.

He said that none of the promises given in the Reorganisation Act have been implemented so far. Nama lashed out at the deliberate move of the Centre to ‘damage’ the finances of Telangana.

Nama said that even eight years after the formation of the state, not a single promise in the Reorganisation Act has been implemented. He asked what happened to the promises on the Kazipet Coach Factory, the Bayyaram Steel Factory, the Tribal University, the establishment of an IIM etc.

Moreover, he said that funds due to the state are not being released. He said that the Centre is discriminating against TS by imposing restrictions even in taking loans.
He said that the increased prices of gas, petrol and diesel are troubling common people and a special discussion should be held in this regard.

He said that there should be a comprehensive discussion on problems faced by farmers, electricity reforms, Centre-State relations, unemployment, caste enumeration, reservations etc. Nama said that Telangana has lost more than Rs 40,000 crore due to the Centre’s policies.

Chief Minister KCR guided the TRS MPs. He asked them to take up coal allocation in the House and that they should pressure the Centre on funds due to Telangana. He said that the Centre should be pressured on the implementation of reorganisation guarantees.

He said that the state government has lost a lot of revenue due to the policies of the Centre and instructed his party MPs to expose the BJP government for discriminating against Telangana in allocating funds and projects as well as the cuts being imposed on loans.
