Work hard to achieve targets, bankers told

Prakasam District Collector A Tameem Ansariya has said that district officials and bank officials should work in coordination and achieve the specified targets.
District Consultative Committee (DCC) and District Level Review Committee (DLRC) bankers meeting was held under the chairmanship of District Collector Tameem Ansariya on Tuesday.
The Collector reviewed various loan targets set for all the banks in the district and the progress achieved with the representatives of the respective banks. Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said that for the financial year 2023-24, as of March 31, 2024, against the district credit plan target of Rs 17,988 crore, loans of Rs.30,975.15 crore have been sanctioned and 172.19 percent financial progress has been achieved.
“For the financial year 2024-25, the target of the district credit plan has been set at Rs 20,591.18 crores. The target of Rs.3900.40 crores for the crop loans in this financial year, loans of Rs.2,368.97 crores worth loans have been extended by June 30, 2024, which is 60.73 per cent,” the Collector revealed.
While the target of granting loans of Rs 1671.03 crore to 32,657 self-help societies in this financial year by the District Rural Development Corporation, by  June 30, 2024, loans to the tune of Rs 616.19 crore have been granted to 7982 self-help societies, she said adding that 24.44 per cent of the target has been achieved.
The Collector said that the target of granting loans of Rs 5940 crore to 1485 self-help societies in this financial year through MEPMA, Rs 5555.65 crore worth of loans has been sanctioned to 430 self-help societies by June 30, 2024.
Collector Tameem Ansariya told the bankers that everyone who has a CCRC card should be extended a loan this year. He asked the bankers to encourage all the farmers who have CCRC cards to provide crop loans and cattle loans to them so that they are eligible and that there is no doubt about them.
DRO Srilata, Lead Manager Ramesh, DRDA MEPMA PD Vasundhara, and Agriculture and Fisheries JD Srinivasulu were among those a host of officials who attended the meeting.
