Following the footsteps of the Kashi Viswanath Temple, the will offer millets prasadam. Endowments Minister Indrakaran Reddy will formally start the distribution of millet prasadam on Wednesday.

Millet prasadam will be available to devotees from Wednesday. Free millet prasadam will be given to devotees on the occasion of the spiritual day along with the sales of gold and silver coins of Yadadri Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swami, the starting of online ticket services, bhumi puja for the construction of the Rayagiri Vedic School, inauguration of the Dana Satram and Kalyana Mandapam near the presidential suite. On Adhyatmika Diwas, Endowments Minister Indrakaran Reddy will attend the development programmes at the famous Yadagirigutta Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple.

Indrakaran said that the Dhoopa Deepa Naivedya scheme will be implemented in 2,043 new temples from Wednesday. At present, this scheme is applicable to 3,645 temples in the state, and the Dhupa Deepa Naivedya scheme will be implemented in 6,661 temples along with the new ones.

The minister recalled that KCR had announced that the salaries of Dhoopa Deepa Naivedya priests would be increased from Rs 6,000 to Rs 10,000 and that it will be implemented soon.

He said that as part of the state’s decennial celebrations, a spiritual day will be observed in all temples across the state on Wednesday. Besides decorating the temples with mango arches, flowers and electric lamps, vedic recitations, abhishekams, homams, harikathas, kavi sammelanam, satkaras, classical music and dance programmes will also be organised.
