Vishwa Hindi Parishad national president Padma Bhushan Prof Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad thanked Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu for reviving the name of NTR University of Health Sciences. It is commendable that the Chief Minister took this decision after coming to power.
It is known that Lakshmi Prasad resigned from the post of Chairman of the Official Language Board as well as the Chairmanship of Hindi Academy and Telugu Academy in protest over the change of name of NTR University of Health Sciences to YSR University of Health Sciences by the previous YSRCP government. On the other hand, Yarlagadda welcomed the CM’s announcement that he will bring Bharat Ratna to NTR.
On this occasion, Acharya Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad said that Vishwa Hindi Parishad aims to show the importance of Hindi language all over the world and to make it one of the official languages of the United Nations. He said that the Parishad is working to bring recognition to the Hindi language at the international level. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is doing his best to popularize Hindi at the international level.
