An illicit affair allegedly led to the murder of a 35-year-old man on Friday. The incident came to light on Tuesday morning when the accused Karunakar surrendered to the police at Station Ghanpur.
The incident happened on the outskirts of Namilakonda village in Station Ghanpur Mandal in Jangaon district. The deceased was identified as T Karunakar, a resident of Station Ghanpur. The accused was identified as Ch Nagaraju, a resident of Station Ghanapur.
He slit Karunakar’s throat with the sharp weapon On Friday.
On Friday afternoon Nagaraju slit Karunakar’s throat. He dumped the body in the Namilakonda village pond.
According to Station Ghanpur Inspector A Raghavendra, the accused Nagaraju surrendered to the police on Tuesday morning. He confessed to having murdered Karunakar.
