YSRCP State general secretary and MLC Lella Appireddy has reiterated that former chief minister late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy proved that agriculture is a productive profession but not a wasteful one by introducing many revolutionary reforms. MLC Appireddy, along with Guntur agriculture market committee chairman Chandragiri Yesuratnam, MLA Gurudgar unveiled a life-size statue of Y S Jagasekhar Reddy at the entrance of Asia’s biggest market yard here on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, Appiredded launched that Rajasekhar Reddy earned a reputation as a pro-farmer. Now Rajasekhar Reddy’s son Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is following in his footsteps to bring agriculture reforms and make farming a lucrative profession.
Later talking to the media, Appireddy said that it is fair to install the Rajasekhar Reddy statue in the Market yard. Lella Appireddy said that YS Rajasekhara Reddy had taken one step forward for the welfare of the farmers, and his son Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is taking four steps forward and provides them with support in every way until the crop grown from seed is sold. If the name of Y S Rajasekhar Reddy is mentioned all should recall the farming.
Due respect was given by unveiling his statue in the mirch yard, the Mayor said. The ideologies of Rajasekhar Reddy are with all as he was not present physically, he lauded.MLA Mohammad Mustafa, market yard chairman Yesuratnam, and GDCC Bank Chairman Ratamshetti Sitaramanjaneyulu also spoke.
