Former MLC Dokka Manikya Varaprasad of the YSRCP has called for a comprehensive investigation by Central agencies into the alleged corrupt activities of TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu. He questioned the reason behind the Income Tax (I-T) department issuing notices to Chandrababu Naidu and emphasised that such actions were taken in accordance with the law, citing discrepancies in financial transactions and business dealings.

Addressing a press conference on Sunday, Dokka said The I-T department recently issued notices, in light of allegations made by Manoj Parthasani, claiming that Rs 118 crore were funnelled to Chandrababu Naidu through money laundering between 2014 and 2019. Chandrababu Naidu initially raised technical objections to the Central I-T department’s jurisdiction but has yet to respond to the notices.

Dokka called for prompt action in the event of Naidu’s delayed response to the show cause notice, suggesting that he should be immediately summoned and subjected to investigation.

He said the I-T department’s responsibility to trace the disappearance of significant sums of money, demanding that Naidu publicly address the I-T notices.

The YSRCP leader highlighted that Naidu can no longer claim ignorance about Vicky Jain and Manoj Parthasani, as WhatsApp chat details have been provided to the I-T department, revealing their connection to him. He argued that the alleged kickback amount of Rs 118 crore represents only a fraction of the larger issue.

Dokka expressed surprise at Naidu’s objections to the issuing authority of the I-T notices, asserting that the central office is entirely within its jurisdiction. He also noted that no TDP-affiliated media outlets have covered the IT notices or held any debates on the matter, despite the I-T department serving notices on four occasions.
