Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan has repeated his claims that YSRCP leaders are taking over government lands, including streams and waterways.
During a visit to Vissannapet village near Bayyavaram in the Anakapalli constituency on Monday, Pawan Kalyan observed how YSRCP officials had allegedly grabbed thousands of acres of government land. He pointed out a road that was built by digging into a hill, leading to the disputed lands.
Speaking to the media, Pawan Kalyan accused YSRCP leaders of engaging in unauthorised development. He criticised their focus on acquiring government and disputed lands rather than promoting growth and job opportunities in the Northern Andhra Pradesh districts. He also mentioned the absence of a job calendar from the government. Pawan Kalyan showcased a guest house constructed on a hilltop by Minister Gudivada Amarnath, highlighting the alleged encroachment of 45 acres of an irrigation tank that had been filled and levelled.
Earlier, Pawan Kalyan received a warm welcome as he arrived in Vissannapet. A significant number of Jana Sena Party members organised a large rally to greet him, starting from the Aganampudi toll gate.
Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan extended Independence Day greetings, emphasising the unity of diverse cultures under the tricolour. He commended India’s progress in various fields over the 76 years since independence and expressed hope for continued success, prosperity, and reduced poverty. He paid tribute to the sacrifices of Indian patriots and wished all Indians a meaningful and joyful celebration of the 77th Independence Day on August 15.
