YSRCP welcomes SC verdict on R 5 Zone house sites

Must read

The YSRCP has hailed the Supreme Court verdict allowing the ruling YSRCP government to distribute house sites to landless people in the R5 zone of Amaravati. MLC Dokka Manikyavaraprasad Rao said that CM Jagan Mohan Reddy was working for the development of Amaravati in various aspects and there was nothing wrong in allotting house sites to the poor, which would also lead to Amaravati’s development. He termed the apex court’s verdict as the victory of the Jagan’s government, who stood for the poor.

The MLC said that some elders had filed a petition in the High Court against the distribution of a big decision to give one cent land to the poor; however the High Court upheld the State government’s decision and struck out the elders’ petition against the poor. He further said that without listening to the High Court, those elders again approached the Supreme Court with the argument that the poor should not get houses under any circumstances and universal efforts were made to stop the pro-poor State government decision under any circumstances. He stated that the Supreme Court has given a fair judgment that they should support the state government which is working for the poor with a generous heart and providing houses to the poor is a constitutional right.

MLC Manikyavaraprasad said that Jagan’s presence as a strong CM was a boon for the poor. “We all feel that it is a blessing that Jagan is working on behalf of the poor with the desire to build houses for homeless poor people. The petitioners backed by the Telugu Desam Party also opposed the introduction of English medium in government schools, but CM Jagan, with strong determination, implemented the same,” he added.

The MLC said that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was a leader, who was considering the welfare of SC, ST, BC and minority communities as Panchmaveda, standing on the side of the poor. He further stated that he was doing ‘class war’. “We should support Jagan Mohan Reddy who stood on the side of the poor in this class war. Chandrababu Naidu and TDP are working with feudal ideology. Already, 30 lakh poor people have been allotted house plots across the State,” he said.

The MLC refuted allegations of the Opposition parties of increasing voters in Amaravati with new houses and criticised the silence of the civil society and the Leftists.
