Promises made on completing every 100 km will be included in poll manifesto: TDP
The ongoing Yuva Galam padayatra of Nara Lokesh, TDP general secretary, achieved the milestone of completing 1,200 km on the 95th day on Wednesday. The Yatra revealed the truth of how the YSRCP failed to fulfil the promise as every region has specific issues. Lokesh asserted and ensured the implementation of all promises he made on reaching every 100-km milestone.
On completing the 1,200-km mark on Wednesday, Lokesh laid a stone commemorating the construction of the Midthur lift irrigation in Nandikotkur constituency. He promised to provide irrigation water to approximately 22,000 acres once this project was completed. Furthermore, 60,000 people will be provided with drinking water.
Lokesh, on completing the 100-km milestone in Chittoor district, made a commitment to open a dialysis facility to the kidney patients near Puthalapattu constituency.
On completing 200 km of the Padayatra, Gangadhara pledged to build a government degree college for Nellore’s youth. He promised that the necessary permits for the construction of the college would be granted within one hundred days of the party coming to power.
After achieving the 300-km milestone, Lokesh promised to start a safe drinking water scheme within 100 days of coming to power after observing the people’s drinking water problems in Srikalahasti.
The Padayatra completed 400 km in Chandragiri and on the occasion, he promised to build a 10-bed hospital in Narendrakunta, Pakala mandal.
Madanapalle is a hub for tomato crop production and Lokesh assured the farmers to establish the tomato processing unit and cold storage locally as many local farmers will benefit from this decision on reaching the 500-km mark.
When the Padayatra journeyed 600 km and reached Kadiri constituency, Lokesh announced the establishment of a temple tourism circuit and proposed to lay the foundation as soon as TDP comes back to power.
Nara Lokesh promised that a lift irrigation scheme would be set up from the Handrineeva canal in the coming days to turn the drought-prone Rayalaseema into a golden Rayalaseema, which will be beneficial to the local farmers, on completing 700 km.
Lokesh on knowing the struggle faced by sugar farmers in the Singanamala constituency promised to establish a sugar processing unit at Martadu in Garladinne Mandal on completing the 800 km mark of the ongoing Padayatra.
Lakesh promised to support agriculture and provide drinking water to the people of Aluru, Pattikonda, Done, and Banaganepalli within days of taking office. A stone was placed at Papili to begin the Gundala project on completing 900 km.
On reaching the 1,000-km mark, the one-fourth of the total walkathon, in Adoni constituency, Lokesh adopted the 21st ward of the town that was lacking adequate basic facilities. Dalits, BCs, and minorities faced numerous challenges in this ward. Lokesh announced to do anything for them.
Nara Lokesh completed 1,100 km in Emmiganur. To create employment, he assured of building a textile park that would generate approximately 12,000 jobs for the locals.
Lokesh stated that every promise that he had made after achieving each 100 km milestone was included in the 2024 election manifesto, and they have pledged to work toward their fulfilment.
