Zero breaks for Nayanthara’s Connect

Must read

The COVID 19 pandemic has supplemented filmmakers with ample content. Adding to the list of films centred around the pandemic and lockdown, Nayanthara’s Connect which is going to release on December 22. The film is about a family that is compelled to live separately during the lockdown. The paranormal events that follow will form the crux of the film.

Directed by Ashwin Saravanan, the film stars lady superstar Nayanthara in the titular role alongside senior actors like Anupam Kher. Another talking point of the film is that the makers have decided not to tamper with the flow of the film by having an interval point. Indian cinema in general makes films with an interval bang but this film isn’t the same. The 100 minutes long film will race through the high end of the climax without breaks.

Director Ashwin Saravanan assures the audience that the sound design of the film would provide them with an all new experience as they worked exclusively on it for 3 long months. On his association with Nayanthara, the filmmaker had previously collaborated with the star on Maya. Considering their healthy work relationship, the duo seems confident with the final product.

The creator expressed his interest in joining hands with natural star Nani in the near future and said, “I really like Nani from Tollywood. I narrated the Mayuri script to him back in the day and he was ready to produce it. I want to do a film with him sooner or later.” Perhaps, a subtle hint on what lies ahead?
