TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu voiced his concerns on Thursday, revealing that a staggering number of over 20 lakh fake votes have been identified across the State.
Addressing party leaders in Amaravati, Naidu expressed deep apprehension regarding the presence of counterfeit votes within the State.
Furthermore, he expressed distress over the systematic removal of valid votes in every constituency. Naidu emphasised that the TDP had previously sent multiple letters to the Election Commission, drawing attention to the removal of genuine votes and the addition of fraudulent ones. Regrettably, the Election Commission has yet to respond to their correspondence.
Conducting a review meeting on the ongoing electoral revision in the State, Chandrababu Naidu discussed the matter with TDP State Unit President and MLA K Atechannaidu. During the meeting, he expressed his dismay over the lack of action from Election Commission officials.
TDP leaders conveyed to Naidu that they have presented evidence to the Chief Electoral Officer in the state, substantiating the existence of fake votes, the removal of valid votes, and the continuation of votes belonging to deceased individuals in recent times. These actions, according to TDP leaders, were allegedly being carried out to favor the ruling YSR Congress.
Chandrababu Naidu urged the Chief Electoral Officer to seriously consider the TDP’s complaints and ensure the prompt removal of fake votes while preserving the authenticity of genuine votes.
