District Joint Collector P Arun Babu said that Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy is giving the highest priority to better education in the state.
On the occasion of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s birthday, the Regional Joint Director and District Education Officer organized the distribution programme of tablet computers to the students of class 8 in the district at Subbammadevi Municipal High School in Eluru on Wednesday.
The Joint Collector, speaking on the occasion, said that Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy is working to implement better education standards which no other state in India is implementing. He said that these tabs are given only to the students studying in class 8 and all those who pass class 7 and join class 8 are given tabs every year.
The lessons learned in the class could be understood immediately by the merit students in a situation where the general students could not understand them. Through these tabs, the backward students could get an opportunity to learn the lessons learned in the classroom through the given tabs so that the backward students are at par with the merit students.
“The use of these tabs is limited to lessons and they do not work for taking any videos or photos. Students are advised to keep these tabs safe. A total of 20,625 tabs will be distributed to 2,255 teachers and 18,370 students studying 8th standard in 28 mandals in the district by December 28 th in the presence of public representatives,” the JC said.
The Joint Collector said that they should take advantage of the educational standards provided by the government and excel in education at the national level.
District Regional Joint Director and District Education Officer Dukkupati Madhusudhana Rao said that the Chief Minister introduced the tab distribution program with a good intention of perspective to make public education not an investment but an income and productive and asked to use the tabs to improve their educational standards. Mayor Gudidesi Srinivasa Rao and AMC Chairman Nerusu Chiranjeevi were among those who were present.
