21,617 students will get tabs in Prakasam

Prakasam district Collector AS Dinesh Kumar said 21,617 students studying at various schools in the district would be given Tabs adding that revolutionary reforms were being brought in the education sector to make students compete at the international level.
On the occasion of the launching of distribution of Tabs to the students by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in ASR district, a programme was organized here on Thursday in which tabs were distributed to some of the eighth class students.
Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said that to make the students avail technology in the education sector, the government is distributing Tablet PCs to the students. The students should be made to enhance their technological knowledge. Moreover, they should improve their knowledge to compete at the international level, he said.
“As many as 21,617 class students studying 8 th class at 496 schools in Prakasam district will be given Tabs. The student can learn at home using the Tabs going by the lessons which are taught in the class by the teachers. The lessons were uploaded in the Tabs in the form of videos. The students can get their clarification cleared in Tabs as Switch Chat application was downloaded which works by Artificial Intelligence,” Collector Dinesh Kumar said and exhorted the students to utilize tabs in their studies.
MLC Chandrasekhar Reddy said that the Chief Minister has initiated revolutionary changes in the education sector which remain in history forever. The government is providing technical knowledge to the students which infuses self-confidence among them, he felt. The MLC asked the students to avail the benefits being provided to them by the government, excel in studies and reach their goals.
Mayor Gangada Sujata, Arya Vysya Corporation chairman Kuppam Prasad also spoke. DEO VS Subba Rao, ALS coordinator V Subba Rao and a host of officials were present.
