25 red sanders logs seized, 4 arrested

The police seized 25 red sander logs and arrested four red sander smugglers at the Karakambadi forest area. Police told the media here on Tuesday that on a tip-off police teams led by railway Koduru sub-control RK Krupanand and RSI Alibasha conducted combing in the forest area.

The police teams spotted the red sander smugglers at Thimmi Palem near Yanamalabonda. The police tried to arrest them but they managed to escape into the forest. However, the police arrested four of them who belonged to Tamil Nadu State and seized 25 red sander logs. A hunt was launched to arrest those who escaped, police said.
