250 wheelchairs donated to Rlys by Rotary Intl

Waltair Division received 250 brand new modern lightweight wheelchairs from Catherine Jones, the President of Rotary International at a glittering and well-attended function in Visakhapatnam on Saturday. The material was handed over to the officials as part of “Operation Imagine” a mega service project by Rotary International.

Catherine Jones handed over 250 wheelchairs to Anup Satpathy, DRM, Waltair. These chairs will be distributed all over the Waltair Division at Railway stations, hospitals, etc and all old and worn-out will be phased out. This was possible due to the determined persuasive efforts of our Sr DCM Akhilesh Tripathy and his team over the last few weeks. The total value of the wheelchairs received by the division was around Rs 27.5 lakhs. The DRM sincerely thanked Rotary International for this noble gesture.
