The flood situation in the Mulugu district is grim. As many as 30 villages in the district have been inundated following incessant rains.
The situation turned grim as the swollen Jampanna rivulet breached banks.
It led to the inundation of villages around the Medaram shrine.
The floodwater entered Sammakka-Sarakka shrine at Medaram under Tadwai mandal. Several streams are also in spate.
The road connectivity between Eturnagar and Burgamphad remained cut off.
The national highway 163 between Hyderabad and Bhopalapantam in Chhattisgarh remained cut off as road was breached.
