500 passport appointments to be released per day

Must read

The Regional Passport Office, Hyderabad, will release 500 additional appointments on a daily basis for a period of two weeks from April 27.

This functioning is because of five Passport Seva Kendras and 14 Post Office Passport Seva Kendras were suspended on April 14 on account of Dr Ambedkar Jayanti and those applicants were advised to reschedule their appointments to the next available date.

However, due to huge demand and long waiting time for appointment availability, it has been decided to release 500 additional appointments daily, which include Tatkal, normal and PCC categories, for a period of two weeks to accommodate the increased demand. Appointments for April 27 will be available in passport seva website from April 25.

All applicants, both registering now and already registered, are advised to make use of this facility either through www.passportindia.gov.in portal or through Passport Seva App and attend respective PSKS or POPSKS where their slots are booked. Further, all the applicants are hereby informed that prior appointment is mandatory and no walk-in requests will be entertained at PSKS or POPSKS.
