The Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI) has invited entries from entrepreneurs to give Annual Excellence Awards for outstanding contribution in the state. The awards were initiated in 1974 and are given annually by the apex body of trade to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship and recognise excellence in various fields.
The committee is expecting 150 entries and has waived the entry fee for the Outstanding Self-Sustaining Effort by a Differently Abled Person Award category. The last date for paying the nomination fee is May 15 and the last date for receiving nominations will be May 31.
Suresh Kumar Singha, Vice-President of FTCCI, said that companies known for quality production and those who contributed to the GDP of the state and the Centre will be chosen for the awards. The recognition by FTCCI is highly sought after and respected, and the award will boost morale, improve quality and production, and earn good recognition for the company.
This year, a new category of ‘Best Startup’ has been added to the existing 22 categories. The entries will be judged by a jury composed of retired judges, former government officials and industry experts, ensuring transparency and credibility. The selection process has been transparent for the past 49 years, according to jury member Ajay Misra.
The jury will be headed by Arun Luharuka, FTCCI Excellence Awards Committee Chairman. The awards are judged by a jury composed of Justice S. Govindarajulu, Justice Challa Kodanda Ram, retired judges Vikas Raj, Dr M Gopala Krishna, Ajay Misra, retired IAS officer Dr Surendra Kumar, former Scientist with DRDO, and Karunendra S. Jasti, former President, FTCCI.
Other categories of awards include, exports, marketing, innovation, R&D technology, information technology, employee welfare, aerospace and defence, new renewable energy, tourism promotion, chamber/association, individuals – scientist/engineer, woman entrepreneur, differently abled person and social welfare initiatives for women empowerment.
The officials said that the FTCCI Annual Excellence Awards recognise excellence and promote a spirit of entrepreneurship, providing recognition and boosting morale of the recipients.
