51 red sanders logs seized, 1 arrested

The police seized 51 red sander logs at Attivaram village in Naidupet mandal in the forest area.
DSP Chenchubabu told the media on Wednesday that on a tip-off that red sanders logs were dumped at a place in the forest area, a police team on the directions of task force AP Srinivas and led by Kadapa sub-division RI Chiranjeevulu, conducted a combing.
The police team noticed three persons moving suspiciously in the area. When the police team approached, two of them fled the scene. However the police arrested one person Sayyad Muktiyar alias Basha. During the questioning, he revealed that 51 red sander logs were concealed behind bushes in the forest area. Task force police SI Rafi seized the 51 red sander logs and registered a case. A search was launched to arrest two red sander smugglers   Ambotula Shiva and Rangaiah.
