Sivaji’s Strong Second Innings

Must read

Actor Sivaji, known primarily for his roles in entertainment, has recently grabbed the attention of audiences with his performances in serious roles. After a long break, he made a significant comeback with the web series 90s A Middle-Class Biopic on ETV Win, which became an instant hit. This success led to a spike in the channel’s subscriptions. Sivaji played the roles of a father and a teacher, earning widespread appreciation for his performance. Following this, Sivaji appeared as Mangapathi in the recently released Court, where his performance was highly praised. At the success meet of the film, Sivaji shared, “I have been waiting for this role for the last fifteen years, and now I got my chance with this role.”
Sivaji, who had previously starred as the lead actor in several films before taking a break, also participated in Bigg Boss to introduce himself to the new generation of viewers. He later landed the role in the web series 90s. His portrayal of Mangapathi in Court, produced by Nani and directed by debutant Ram Jagadish, has been hailed as one of his finest. His intense performance and powerful dialogue delivery have received significant praise from audiences.
Sivaji added, “After 90s A Middle-Class Biopic, I got many offers to play father or brother roles, but I didn’t want to repeat the same thing. I waited for the right opportunity, and finally, I got my chance with Court.”

Although Priyadarshi played the lead role with a young cast, and other actors like Sai Kumar and Harshavardhan were also part of the film, it was Sivaji’s role and his strong performance that became the film’s backbone. While many actors attempt comebacks, few succeed with such a compelling role.
