Singareni sets record, mines 67.2 lakh tonnes of coal in Dec

The Singareni company logged the highest monthly production of 67.2 lakh tonnes of coal in its history in the month of December 2022. This is 19 per cent higher than what it achieved in December last year.

It also set another all-time record by transporting an average of 2.18 lakh tonnes of coal per day.Chairman and MD N. Sridhar called on all working ranks to work with the same momentum for the rest of the financial year.

On Wednesday at the Singareni Bhavan in Hyderabad,the Chairman held a review meeting with Singareni directors, advisors and GMs of all areas on the progress made in December.
In December 2021, coal production was 56.5 lakh tonnes, while in December 2022, with a growth of 19 per cent, coal production was 67.3 lakh tonnes.

He said that while 37.37 million cubic meters of overburden was removed last December, 47 million cubic meters of OB was removed with a growth of 24.47 per cent in this December.

The Chairman said the remaining 80 days of this financial year are very important and that the production and transportation of coal should be at least 2.30 lakh tons per day, so that Singareni will record the highest coal production and transportation in history in this financial year. The turnover will be around Rs 34,000 crore and the profits will also be the highest.

He also expressed happiness over the transportation of the maximum coal production from the Manuguru, Kothagudem, and Ramagundam regions and Adriala projects. He called for all areas to move forward like this.

The Chairman expressed his joy over the progress achieved in December and congratulated all workers and officials.
