The Krishna district women’s kho-kho team has secured second place in the 55th Andhra Pradesh Inter-District Women’s Kho-Kho Championship held at Edara in Prakasam district from November 12 to 14.Krishna lost to hosts Prakasam (4-9) in the final. Krishna players K Kumari, K Chaitanya, M Durga Bhavani and Akhila fought for the team’s win, but in vain. Earlier, Krishna registered wins against East Godavari (8-2) and Chittoor (11-2) to reach the quarter-finals. In the quarter, they beat Vizianagaram (7-3) and in the semi-final, Visakhapatnam (8-6). Krishna District Kho-Kho Association secretary M Prasad congratulated the players, coach Soma Sekhar and manager Anuradha.
