14 theme parks in Khairatabad zone to be developed with Rs 41 crore

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) cleared 11 proposals in a meeting held by Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi on Wednesday.

The list of proposals included the approval of a report submitted by the Examiner of Accounts detailing receipts and expenditures for the month of February. A amount of Rs 6 crore was sanctioned for construction of stormwater box drain between the culvert at Sahara Estates in Mansurabad culvert at GSI Road. Construction was approved for a 40 feet road in Serilingampally mandal.

The GHMC will develop 14 theme parks in the Khairatabad zone at a cost of Rs 41 crore. The committee also sanctioned Rs 5.95 crore for construction of an indoor sports complex in the premises of Government Junior College at Falaknuma. Works will be undertaken for the Chintal pond drainage division in Gajularamaram village at the cost of Rs 2.23 crore and for the Meddela Kunta pond works, the committee has sanctioned Rs 2.15 crore.

Further, for the diversion of the drainage pond at Quthbullapur mandal, Rs 2.77 crore has been allocated along with Rs 2.36 crore for the works at Lal Saab Guda Pond in the same mandal. Lastly, Rs 2.96 crore has been sanctioned for the construction of Peacock lake sewage in Gachibowli of Serilingampally mandal.
