In a bid to meet the ambitious targets set by Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy, Andhra Pradesh Township and Infrastructure Development Corporation (APTIDCO) Chairman Jammana Prasanna Kumar has directed engineering officials to accelerate the construction of 11,164 TIDCO houses in Uttar Andhra.
The directive is part of the broader goal of constructing and handing over 1.50 lakh houses to beneficiaries across the State by the end of January next year.
Prasanna Kumar specifically reviewed the progress of the TIDCO Housing Project at the joint meeting of officials Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, and Srikakulam districts. He called for an effort to ensure timely completion of construction and the subsequent handover of houses to the beneficiaries.
Notably, most of the TIDCO houses were already completed, and the Chairman stressed the need for an action plan to complete the remaining ones promptly. The engineering officials were instructed to prepare a detailed plan for providing 11,164 TIDCO houses in Visakhapatnam, Anakapalli, Vizianagaram, and Srikakulam districts, encompassing areas such as JViyamsi, Satyanarayanapuram, Saripalli, Sonia Nagar, Salur, Palasa, Ichapuram, Salo, and Verasi.
The Chairman revealed that 85,000 houses had already been allocated to beneficiaries in various districts, including erstwhile Vizianagaram, East Godavari, West Godavari, Nellore, and Kurnool. He directed officials to ensure the completion of all infrastructure works, including housing, sewage treatment (STP), roads, fresh water, drainage, and electrical facilities in each TIDCO project area.
