District Collector Abhilasha Abhinav on Wednesday stressed the need to improve the quality of education in government schools on a par with private schools.
The Collector made a surprise visit to a social welfare girl’s school near Jam village under the Sarangapur mandal. During the inspection of the school, she addressed 10th class students and asked them questions in various subjects. She advised pupils to study diligently and achieve success.
The Collector interacted with the teachers and school authorities. She asked the teachers to ensure that the student score high marks in public examination. She directed the authorities to take all steps to ensure that the student do not fall victim to seasonal diseases.
She plants a sapling on the school premises. District Education Officer Ravinder Reddy, District Panchayat Officer Srinivas, District Medical Health Officer Dr Dhan Raj, Irrigation Department Executive Engineer Lakshmi, Deputy Enigneer Srinivas, Tahsildar Sridevi, MPDO Lakshmi Kanta Rao and officials of the respective departments were present.
