KNSU to establish Sports University: CM

In a significant development, Revanth Reddy, who has been actively working on the concept of a ‘Young India Sports University,’ announced a major partnership with the Korea National Sports University (KNSU). During a recent visit to South Korea, Revanth engaged in detailed discussions with KNSU’s President, Moon Won-Jae, which led to an agreement in principle to establish the university in Hyderabad. “I also had this deep angst about the gap between potential and performance for a long while now. Along with the Young India Skills University (YISU), I have been working on the concept of a ‘Young India Sports University’ for Telangana for a while. On my recent trip to South Korea, I met a top delegation of the KNSU (Korea National Sports University), including its president Moon Won-Jae. We had detailed discussions for a partnership between KNSU and the proposed YISU, and they have agreed in principle to partner with us in establishing it in Hyderabad,” Revanth said. He also revealed that a 200-acre campus has been secured in Hakimpet, and existing facilities, including the Gachibowli stadium, will be upgraded to Olympics grade specifications. This move aims to bridge the gap between potential and performance among Indian youth in sports.
