Mala Mahanadu opposes SC/ST sub-classiciation

Mala Mahanadu district unit president Pula Ravinder demanded that the State government not implement the categorisation of Scheduled Castes. The Supreme Court upheld the Constitutional validity of classification of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
The Mala Mahanadu, district unit, launched a relay hunger strike in Kothagudem on Friday demanding that the government not implement the classification of the Scheduled Castes.
In Bhadradri Kothagudem district, Bhadrachalam constituency, under the leadership of Alladi Palraju, the leaders of anti-caste struggle committee, the Mala Mahanadu leaders started a relay hunger strike at Bhadrachalam Ambedkar Center.
National Secretary of National Mala Mahanadu Thuppadu Shivakumar and Pula Ravinder were present as chief guests for this relay hunger strike.
On the occasion, Mala Mahanadu district president Ravinder said that vested interests under the guise of classification have been trying to divide Dalits. He stressed the need to continue the struggle until the government abandoned the idea of implementing the classification of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
