Brahmaji started his career as a character artiste essaying small roles and then turned a villain with Krishna Vamsi’s Gulabi that gave him a good break as an actor with scope to display his versatility. Then he played as lead actor in Krishna Vamsi’s Sindhooram, but settled mostly as a character artiste – role into which he was typecast. An industry veteran for more than three decades, he has always stayed clear of controversies, thanks to his good rapport with almost every top actor. The best part is that he is deemed a mascot by many people in the industry and is known for being the life of the party always. In a conversation with The Pioneer’s Suresh Kavirayani, he shares the odds he had to battle while struggling to gain a foothold in the film industry as a youth.
