The Congress has asked the TRS government to abolish the Dharani Portal and revive the old system immediately. The party demanded that the government should solve the problems of lands listed in the prohibited list.
The Congress also demanded that the government should implement the Forest Rights Act in the State. Congress leaders Revanth Reddy, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, T. Jagga Reddy, Seethakka, M. Kodanda Reddy, Balaram Naik, Shabbir Ali and others met Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar and submitted a memorandum urging him to solve the problems connected with lands.
Later speaking to the media, TPCC President Revanth said the TRS government is not maintaining the Dharani Portal and that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has handed over the Dharani Portal which has land holding details of the state’s people to private companies.
Stating that the government is expected to keep details about the assets of the public confidential, Revanth said that details of land holdings that went to private individuals and companies are likely to be misused.
He said that Congress leaders had explained this to the Chief Secretary and had asked him to take action. He also asked the public to exert pressure on the government regarding this.
Alleging that details of 24 lakh acres are not visible on Dharani Portal, Revanth said that the government has been troubling farmers. He warned the government that they will launch a protest in all constituencies on November 30 if the government fails to respond.
Revanth said the government has been adopting delaying tactics by not giving title deeds on Podu lands. He said that they will launch protests at all mandal headquarters on November 24 if the government fails to take action. He demanded that the government should give title deeds of assigned lands and Podu lands to eligible farmers.
Revanth said that he had urged the CS to implement the Tenant Farmers Act and added that they will stage a protest in front of collectorates on December 5. He demanded that the government should solve these problems by convening the Assembly immediately.
He also said that the TRS and the BJP have been creating disturbances in the State to hide their failures. Both the TRS and the BJP have been creating confusion in the State by resorting to attacks and counterattacks.
He said that Prime Minister Modi has been conspiring to shift investments from Telangana to Gujarat. He said that KCR and Modi have been destroying Telangana with their political battles.
