The BJP’s Telangana unit leaders want the SIT to issue notices to them even though the party’s national leaders skipped questioning in the case regarding the alleged attempt to poach TRS MLAs at the Moinabad farmhouse. BL Santosh has not received the notice that was supposed to be served through the Delhi police, as he is not in New Delhi.
With the SIT questioning Sanjay’s aide Srinivas on Monday, sources said that any notice or arrest of Sanjay will only help the BJP’s agenda in the state and give it the much-needed fillip. Sources said that any arrest of the BJP State president will help the party and if things turn more dramatic the BJP might even form the next Telangana government.
When asked if the state BJP president will skip the SIT hearing, if he gets a notice like the three others, BJP sources said, “We can’t wait to get the notice. The BJP’s state president will accept the notice, go to the SIT and answer all questions. If this happens, the BJP will form the next government in Telangana. Srinivas is no way connected to Sanjay. They were just neighbours. In fact, when the name came up, Sanjay had to rack his brains to remember who the person was.”
Sources said that despite the alleged audio leaks claiming that Sanjay and Kishan Reddy were unaware of the defections, the advocate whom they claim to be an aide of Sanjay was named. Sources said KCR’s target is definitely Prime Minister Modi but Sanjay taking the oath at Yadadri has irked the TRS leadership.
“Almost everyone in the TRS mentions the oath at Yadadri. So the sentiment that was created needs to be removed and thus Sanjay’s name will keep coming up,” sources said.
“The BJP practises cold blooded politics. When we are into it, we are completely into it. With the Delhi liquor scam coming out, KCR had no other choice but to fight us. Being the Chief Minister and as the BJP has decided to launch ‘Mission Telangana,’ KCR cannot run away and so he has to give a tough fight. This resulted in the Moinabad drama scripted and directed by the CM himself. However, even that can go in favour of the BJP. It’s just a matter of time,” sources said.
