According to sources, Prasad Babu had demanded a bribe of Rs 10,000 from an electrical contractor, Naveen Kumar Mamindla, to prepare a work estimation report and forward the same to ADE and DE for sanction, and furnish a copy of the estimation to the complainant. Babu had asked Inapudi Srinivas rao to mediate in the transaction and settled the bribe for Rs 5,000. Srinivas Rao, in turn, directed Gowtham to accept the bribe money.
