Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, with his every step, is trying to corner the main opposition BRS. The Chief Minister, with his political strategy, is suffocating the BRS ahead of Lok Sabha elections. Revanth Reddy is taking every step to corner the BRS politically and to create positive impact in the public towards the Congress. Meeting of former DSP Nalini and Sankaramma, the mother of Srikanthachary, were part of the CM’s strategy. After becoming the Chief Minister, he enquired with police officials about the hurdles to reinstate DSP Nalini into service who sacrificed her job during the separate Telangana agitation.
The BRS in its 10-year-rule ignored Nalini. She met Revanth recently and thanked him for his concern towards her. Sankaramma, the mother of Srikanthachary, who was immortalised during the separate Telangana movement was also disappointed by the BRS government. Sankaramma also met Revanth two days ago. The Chief Minister is thinking of giving some nominated post to Sankaramma.
Meanwhile, the Revanth is planning to constitute State advisory council with prominent personalities. To this council, the CM will be the chairman. Intellectuals like professors Nageswar, Haragopal, Kodandaram and retired IAS officer Jayaprakash Narayan and others will be appointed in this council. All of them were strong critics of the previous BRS government. The council will suggest on various issues like education to the government for better governance.
The Chief Ministter wants to show the people the difference between the previous BRS government and the present Congress government. In this way, Revanth wants to send positive signals to the people to attract them towards the Congress.
The Chief Minister feels that this will help the Congress in the coming Lok Sabha elections to win majority seats. At the same time the Congress government is trying to expose the irregularities and reported corruption of the previous BRS government by constituting inquiry committees on Kaleshwaram project and others.
