AIG Hospitals is set to invest Rs 800 crore to bring advanced Proton Beam Therapy to South-East Asia. The hospital’s board has approved the acquisition of the Proteus®ONE Proton Therapy System, including DynamicARC® technology, from Belgium-based IBA.
This state-of-the-art system, known for its precision, minimises damage to healthy tissues while targeting tumors, making it ideal for treating complex cancers, especially in children and those with tumors near critical organs.

Chairman of AIG Hospitals, Dr D Nageshwar Reddy emphasised their patient-centric approach, stating that this acquisition represents a transformative step toward cutting-edge cancer treatment.
Meanwhile, Vice Chairman PVS Raju highlighted the hospital’s vision of offering world-class cancer care, integrating medical, surgical, and radiation oncology, alongside research and training.
