Highlighting that Hyderabad will be a hub for startups in emerging technologies, Information Technology Minister D Sridhar Babu inaugurated the first-ever Netherlands-based AI-driven company Ariqt’s Global Innovation Hub (GIC) on the 9th floor of Aurobindo Galaxy on Friday.
The Global Innovation Hub, starting with hiring over 300 engineers in Phase 1, showcases Ariqt’s trust in Hyderabad’s dynamic ecosystem and skilled talent pool.
Speaking at the inauguration, Minister D Sridhar Babu highlighted Hyderabad’s emergence as a hub for Global Capability Centers (GCCs) and Global Innovation Centres (GICs), creating AI-driven jobs. He emphasised the challenge of keeping pace with rapidly evolving technologies and stated the government’s focus on nurturing AI across all sectors, starting from governance, railways, delivery, and security.
The Minister highlighted Ariqt’s work in cybersecurity for the Paris Olympics 2024 and noted the company’s advanced AI solutions in fintech, agriculture, sports, cybersecurity, travel, and supply chain. He also announced plans to provide a platform for startups and companies to collaborate with the government and integrate their products into various sectors.
Sridhar Babu concluded by stating, “A futuristic company from the Netherlands is now in Hyderabad,” highlighting the state’s commitment to driving innovation.
Meanwhile, Ariqt CEO Rupesh Kumar expressed gratitude to the Telangana government, stating that the launch of the Global Innovation Hub in Hyderabad is a major milestone.
