press conference here on Sunday, Minister Amarnath emphasised that the current
administration has surpassed the progress achieved in the preceding five years, marking
substantial growth in various sectors.
Under the present government’s tenure, investments to the tune of Rs 90,000 crore
have flooded into the State, a stark contrast to the meagre Rs 40,000 crore during the previous administration led by Chandrababu Naidu.
The establishment of numerous industries, including the setting up of over 3.5 lakh
MSMEs, has provided employment opportunities for approximately 1.20 lakh individuals,
thereby invigorating the State’s economy. Minister Amarnath highlighted the government’s
unwavering support for struggling MSMEs during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, allocating Rs 1,000 crore to sustain these enterprises.
Furthermore, the administration facilitated the establishment of key industrial units such as the Grasim Company’s caustic soda unit and Apollo Tires in strategic locations like Rajahmundry and Atchutapuram, respectively.
Notably, the government’s efforts culminated in the establishment of the prestigious Bulk Drugs Park. Additionally, plans are underway to establish a Green Hydrogen Hub in
collaboration with organisations like NTPC, aiming to create employment opportunities
for an additional one lakh people. The minister proudly announced the State’s consecutive top ranking in the Ease of Doing Business index for three years, attracting significant
interest from prominent industrialists and fostering an environment conducive to investment.
In response to opposition criticism and alleged misrepresentation by certain media
outlets, Amarnath urged for factual reporting and cautioned against attempts to
undermine the government’s achievements. He reaffirmed the widespread support for
Chief Minister Jagan and emphasised the collective commitment to ensure his re-election.
