Union Home Minister Amit Shah is coming to Hyderabad on April 23. BJP sources said Amit Shah will attend the public meeting being held in Chevella or Vikarabad as part of the ‘Parliament Pravas Yojana’ programme of the party.
It is learnt that there are possibilities that the suspended BRS leaders – former MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and former Minister Jupalli Krishna Rao – may join the BJP in Amit Shah’s presence.
A Telangana BJP leader on condition of anonymity told ‘The Pioneer’ that there is a possibility that these two leaders would join the BJP in the presence of Amit Shah on April 23. But he refused to give any other information.
In fact, the same leader did not dismiss outright the question put by ‘The Pioneer,’ on whether the two leaders are joining the BJP. The leader said, “I cannot reveal the secret.”
Other Telangana BJP leaders are saying that there would be inductions in the party during Amit Shah’s public meeting and hence the sudden meeting.
BJP leaders are also saying that Amit would blow the Telangana poll bugle at the meeting and will also induct leaders from other political parties.
Meanwhile, BJP leaders have started attempts to attract people to the public meeting as the party thinks that the meeting should be conducted in a grand manner. The leaders are saying that Amit would make some major announcements.
As part of it, BJP leaders from Ranga Reddy rural district had a meeting at former MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy’s residence on Monday.
It may be recalled that the BJP high command is now focussing on Telangana after Karnataka. Amit said on Sunday that the BJP has a very good chance to come to power in Telangana.
Amit’s Parliament Pravas Yojana programme was cancelled many times and State leaders are expecting that he would visit the State this time.
