Andhra University lauded for its international appeal

The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) Zonal Director, Pradeep Kumar, commended Andhra University (AU) for its success in attracting a substantial number of international students. Kumar’s visit to AU on Saturday focused on strengthening collaboration and exploring new avenues for cultural exchange initiatives. Kumar specifically highlighted AU’s impressive infrastructure, high-quality education, and comprehensive student amenities as key factors in drawing international students to the university.
In response to Kumar’s recognition, AU Vice Chancellor, Prof. PVGD Prasada Reddy, reaffirmed the university’s commitment to further enhancing its facilities to accommodate up to 2,000 foreign students. Reddy emphasized AU’s dedication to providing seamless administrative support and services to all students. He pointed to the recent expansion of hostel facilities designed specifically to cater to the needs of international students. The VC further expressed gratitude to ICCR for its role in facilitating the influx of foreign students to AU.
Andhra University’s recent achievement of a commendable 3.74 CGPA in the NAAC Scoring system positions it as one of the top two universities in India. This prestigious recognition is expected to further bolster AU’s reputation and attract a significantly larger international student population in the coming years, enriching the university’s diverse academic environment.
Pradeep Kumar’s contributions were acknowledged with a felicitation ceremony hosted by AU authorities. The event was attended by key figures including AU’s Dean of International Student Affairs, Prof. EN Dhanunjaya Rao, Associate Dean Prof. Ishwar Kumar, and other esteemed guests, signifying a collaborative effort towards fostering global academic excellence at Andhra University.
