Following directives from Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, government orders have been issued to enhance the morale of lower-ranking police personnel by updating the uniforms worn by the Armed Reserve (AR) and Andhra Pradesh Special Police (APSP) police, a tradition established during British rule. Furthermore, he has instructed relevant authorities to promptly pay SLS and ASLS bills owed to police personnel by March 31st.
The State President of the Andhra Pradesh Police Officers’ Association, Janakula Srinivasa Rao, and the association members convened to meet the Chief Minister and expressed their appreciation to the Chief Minister at the camp office on Friday.
The Chief Minister has responded positively to the concerns raised by the Andhra Pradesh Police Officers’ Association regarding the welfare of state police personnel and their families. These concerns include provisions such as education benefits (for disciplines like engineering, IIT, IIT, NIT, MBBS, etc.) for the children of police martyrs, who lost their lives in the line of duty due to anti-social elements. Additionally, measures such as a 2% reservation in various departments, which includes the provision of bus passes for police personnel during duty hours on RTC buses.
