Megastar Chiranjeevi and director Anil Ravipudi’s much-awaited collaboration was officially launched on the auspicious occasion of Ugadi in Hyderabad. Even before the film’s launch, the makers had already announced their plan to release it during Sankranthi 2026.
Anil Ravipudi’s latest film, Sankranthiki Vasthunnam, starring Venkatesh, Aishwarya Rajesh and Meenakshi Chaudhary, became a sensational hit, collecting nearly Rs 300 crores at the box office. Known for his unique promotional strategies, Anil took a personal interest in marketing the film, crafting creative promotional content that generated excitement and drew audiences to theaters.
Now, with his film alongside Megastar officially launched, Anil has once again kickstarted promotions—but this time, it seems more like an over-the-top tribute to Chiranjeevi rather than strategic marketing. While it is common for directors to praise the stars they work with, excessive glorification can sometimes raise audience expectations too high, which may backfire if the film fails to meet them.
