Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu announced that the government has decided to extend the annuity for another five years to the farmers who offered their lands under the Land Pooling Scheme for the construction of New Capital Amaravati. The CM has clarified that Capital Region Development Authority jurisdiction for the construction and development of Amaravati Capital will be within the area of 8,352 square kilometres as per GO 207 given in 2015 and stated that the CRDA area will continue as per the previously identified area.
The 36th authority meeting of CRDA was held on Friday under the chairmanship of CM Chandrababu at the Secretariat in Velagapudi in Amaravati. The CM discussed 12 issues in this meeting and the land allotments made to 130 organizations in the past and their current situation were reviewed with the officials. Further discussion was held on how many days would it take to start construction activities again by previously land-allotted organisations.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu directed the officials to go ahead with the construction of the Amaravati Inner Ring Road and the expansion of Karakatta Road into four lanes.

Chief Minister Naidu suggested that allotment of land be done only for those who will make Amaravati a centre of wealth creation. He directed to re-examine the previous land allotments and give an opportunity to interested companies. The CM also discussed the issue of which organizations should be invited and to whom land should be allotted to make Amaravati an education hub. The Chief Minister believes that top 10 colleges, top 10 schools and top 10 hospitals of the country should be established in Amaravati.
