Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh High Court Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra administered the oath of office to S Abdul Nazeer as Governor of Andhra Pradesh at the swearing-in-ceremony held at 9.30 am at Raj Bhavan here on Friday.
The swearing-in-ceremony commenced with Chief Secretary Dr KS Jawahar Reddy reading out the warrant of appointment of S Abdul Nazeer as Governor of Andhra Pradesh, issued by the President of India. After the swearing-in-ceremony, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Chief Justice Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra, and other dignitaries greeted Governor S Abdul Nazeer with the presentation of bouquets.
The dignitaries who attended the swearing-in-ceremony were served High Tea, followed by a group photo of the Council of Ministers with the Governor. K Moshen Raju, Chairman of AP Legislative Council, all the Cabinet Ministers, Leader of Opposition N Chandrababu Naidu, MPs, MLAs, MLCs, several serving and retired Judges of the Supreme Court, Andhra Pradesh High Court, Karnataka High Court, Chairmen of Corporations, several public representatives, senior officers of the government, family members of the Governor, officials and non-officials have attended the ceremony.
YV Subba Reddy, Chairman of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam called on Governor S Abdul Nazeer and presented a shawl, a photo of Lord Venkateswara, and laddu Prasadam to the Governor. Priests from TTD recited Veda Aseeravachanam and showered blessings on Governor S Abdul Nazeer, and Lady Governor Sameera Nazeer.
