The Andhra Pradesh Tourism hosted a felicitation event for Sanjay Mayure, who is on an all-India cycle expedition with the objective to promote national unity, fitness, environment protection, and tourism, at Bhavani Island, Vijayawada, on Friday. The event was attended by many cyclists and walkers.
The Andhra Pradesh Tourism Authority, which was inspired by Sanjay Mayure’s dedication and spirit, supports him in his endeavours. The Tourism Authority wanted to appreciate him for promoting and creating awareness of tourism, and also the cyclists and walkers of the local clubs for educating society on fitness and taking part in promoting tourism in Bhavani Island.
Speaking on the occasion, tourism officials said that Bhavani Island was one of the longest riverine islands in the world where nature’s beauty is hidden. There are so many facilities set up for the visitors to relax.
Apart from water sports, facilities for adventure sports, toy trains, amusement park, pathways for cycling, maze garden, mirror maze, VR cricket, robotic park, etc were being arranged.
The Tourism officials said that the visitors can enjoy adventure sports within two weeks and the ongoing works on amusement parks will be completed shortly. They conveyed greetings to Sanjay Mayure for visiting the island.
Mayure thanked the Tourism Authority for the support and talked about his journey from Mumbai to Vijayawada. He was welcomed in every part of the country and was supported by the local people. He expressed happiness over being part of the programme and was thankful for the support given by the officials.Tourism Officials of APTDC, APTA and BITC, Cyclist Club members and other unit officers of Bhavani Island were present.
